Sound of the week:
L* Last week I did not introduce the "L" sound as it was a very short week- only two days with
me since I was absent from school last Monday. This week we will learn about the "L" sound.
* I have kept all of the items that were sent in last week for the "L" sound. Please only send in an item if you have not already done so.
With the colder weather, please be sure to send your child to school with a jacket, hat, scarf/neck warmer, and gloves/mitts. It might be a good idea to begin sending your child to school with boots as well since the children are outside for at least 20 minutes at recess and at least 30 minutes at lunch time. Thank you :)

LIBRARY:
Please return your child's library book by TUESDAY in the ZIPLOC BAG. Thank you!
The blue duo-tang will be sent home every Monday and must be returned the following Monday. You will keep the purple duo-tang at home. Throughout the week, please review the sound of the week and have your child complete the corresponding pages in the purple duo-tang. Please have your child practice singing the weekly songs/poems and complete the activity at the bottom of the page (if there is one) in the blue duo-tang. Please refer to the introduction letter for a more detailed explanation of this on the 2nd page of both duo-tangs.
Please continue to have your child practice writing his/her name EVERY DAY.

Sound Monster:
This Friday, November 10th, 2017, we will be feeding the Sound Monster. Please send in 1 item (a toy, a book, a picture, etc. ) that begins with the "L" sound on Wednesday. The item will be returned to your child at the end of the day. If you cannot find an item, you can have your child draw a picture and write the corresponding word. Some ideas for the "L" sound include: leaf, letter, lollipop and Lego.* I have kept all of the items that were sent in last week for the "L" sound.
