This Friday, December 9th, 2016, we will be feeding the Sound Monster. Please send in 1 item (a toy, a book, a picture, etc. ) that begins with the "M" sound on Wednesday. The item will be returned to your child at the end of the day. If you cannot find an item, you can have your child draw a picture and write the corresponding word. Some ideas for the "M" sound include: monkey, mail, monster, macaroni, mushroom, and marshmallow.Number of the Week:

HOLIDAY PLAY:
On Thursday, December 15th, 2016, (at 7:00 PM) Good Shepherd School will be putting on our holiday play called "Scrooge". Throughout the play, every class will perform a song. My Kindergarten class is paired with Ms. Alexis' grade 6 class to sing Deck the Halls at the show. We are asking all of children to arrive at 6:45 PM and come directly to MY CLASSROOM. If you would like to attend the show, you must pre-order tickets (maximum of 2 per family) by completing the order form you received by email last week. If you would like me to send home a paper copy for you, please let me know.
THEME TABLE:
Our new theme until the holiday break will be gingerbread man and Christmas. I invite the children to bring in books, toys or objects related to our theme that we can place on our theme table in the class. Please be sure to write your child' s name on the item or book so that I can easily return it to you. Thank you in advance!
SCHOLASTICS:
Scholastics orders for December are due on Tuesday, December 6th, 2016. Books can make great holiday gifts. Please note that I can send home your child's order in a sealed envelope if you'd like to keep it a surprise.
LIBRARY:
Please return your child's library book by WEDNESDAY in the ZIPLOC BAG. This way, it will give the children one extra day before the books are due in case there are any forgotten books. Thank you!

REMINDERS:
The dark blue and light blue duo-tangs will be sent home every Monday and must be returned the following Monday. Throughout the week, please review the sound of the week and have your child complete the corresponding pages in the light blue duo-tang. Please have your child practice singing the weekly songs/poems and complete the activity at the bottom of the page (if there is one) in the dark blue duo-tang. Please refer to the introduction letter for a more detailed explanation of this on the 2nd page in the dark blue and light blue duo-tangs.
