Due to the field trip last Friday, we did not have time to feed the Sound Monster. Therefore, this Friday, December 16th, 2016, we will be feeding the Sound Monster. Please send in 1 item (a toy, a book, a picture, etc. ) that begins with the "M" sound on Wednesday. The item will be returned to your child at the end of the day. If you cannot find an item, you can have your child draw a picture and write the corresponding word. Some ideas for the "M" sound include: monkey, mail, monster, macaroni, mushroom, and marshmallow.Number of the Week:

HOLIDAY PLAY:
On Thursday, December 15th, 2016, (at 7:00 PM) Good Shepherd School will be putting on our holiday play called "Scrooge". Throughout the play, every class will perform a song. My Kindergarten class is paired with Ms. Alexis' grade 6 class to sing Deck the Halls at the show. We are asking all of children to arrive at 6:45 PM and come directly to MY CLASSROOM. If you would like to attend the show, you must pre-order tickets (maximum of 2 per family) by completing the order form sent home last week. There is also a daytime show for GRANDPARENTS only on Thursday December 15th, 2016 at 10:00 AM. This show is FREE and tickets must be ordered as well by completing the order form that was sent home last week. We will be collecting non-perishable items for the needy that night as well.
* Please dress your child in GREEN or RED for the Holiday play. They must also bring with them a pair of gloves and a hat (we are going to pretend to be Christmas carollers at the show).
THEME TABLE:
We are continuing our gingerbread man and Christmas themes until the holiday break. I would like to invite the children to bring in books, toys or objects related to our theme that we can place on our theme table in the class. Please be sure to write your child' s name on the item or book so that I can easily return it to you. Thank you in advance!
LIBRARY:
Please return your child's library book by WEDNESDAY in the ZIPLOC BAG. This way, it will give the children one extra day before the books are due in case there are any forgotten books. Thank you!

REMINDERS:
The dark blue and light blue duo-tangs will be sent home every Monday and must be returned the following Monday. Throughout the week, please review the sound of the week and have your child complete the corresponding pages in the light blue duo-tang. Please have your child practice singing the weekly songs/poems and complete the activity at the bottom of the page (if there is one) in the dark blue duo-tang. Please refer to the introduction letter for a more detailed explanation of this on the 2nd page in the dark blue and light blue duo-tangs.
