Sound Monster: 

This Friday, December 2nd, 2016, we will be feeding the Sound Monster.  Please send in 1 item (a toy, a book, a picture, etc. ) that begins with the "I" sound on Wednesday.  The item will be returned to your child at the end of the day.  If you cannot find an item, you can have your child draw a picture and write the corresponding word.  Some ideas for the "I" sound include: insect, igloo, and inchworm.

Important Information:

TEDDY BEAR VISIT:

This FRIDAY, December 2nd, 2016, I am asking all the children to bring in a teddy bear for our Teddy Bear visit. All of the teddy bears will be returned home on Friday for the weekend. Thank you for your usual cooperation. :)


FIELD TRIP:

Last week I sent home a permission slip for the Nutcracker Field Trip that the entire school will be attending. On December 9th, 2016, we will be going to see the Nutcracker Ballet. Please send in the permission slip and $7.00 as soon as possible. Thank you!

THEME TABLE:

We are continuing to learn about bears this week. I invite the children to bring in books, toys or objects related to our theme that we can place on our theme table in the class. Please be sure to write your child' s name on the item or book so that I can easily return it to you. Thank you in advance!

SCHOLASTICS:

I will be placing the orders for the December Scholastic flyers on Tuesday, December 6th, 2016. Books can make great holiday gifts. Please note that I can send home your child's order in a sealed envelope if you'd like to keep it a surprise.

LIBRARY: 

Please return your child's library book by WEDNESDAY in the ZIPLOC BAG.  This way, it will give the children one extra day before the books are due in case there are any forgotten books. Thank you!

REMINDERS:

The dark blue and light blue duo-tangs will be sent home every Monday and must be returned the following Monday.  Throughout the week, please review the sound of the week and have your child complete the corresponding pages in the light blue duo-tang.  Please have your child practice singing the weekly songs/poems and complete the activity at the bottom of the page (if there is one) in the dark blue duo-tang. Please refer to the introduction letter for a more detailed explanation of this on the 2nd page in the dark blue and light blue duo-tangs.

Please continue to have your child practice writing his/her name EVERY DAY.  Thank you!
