Important Information:

REPORT CARDS:

Your child will receive his/her first term report card on Thursday, November 17th, 2016.  Please note that this is the only paper report card that will be sent home this year.  The second and third term report cards will be sent home electronically.

PARENT TEACHER INTERVIEWS (MEETINGS):

I look forward to meeting with you on Thursday and Friday to discuss the wonderful progress your munchkins are making in Kindergarten!

KINDERGARTEN BAKE SALE: November 23rd, 2016

Last week I sent home a letter regarding the upcoming bake sale that the Kindergarten classes will be in charge of organizing.  Please return the bottom portion of the letter to school indicating your contribution to the bake sale and if you can volunteer to assist us that morning (if you have not already done so).  Thank you for your support!

THEME TABLE:

This week, we will begin our bear theme.  I invite the children to bring in books, toys or objects related to our theme that we can place on our theme table in the class.  Please be sure to write your child' s name on the item or book so that I can easily return it to you.  Thank you in advance!

SCHOLASTICS:

Please note that the deadline to submit the November order is Wednesday, November 16th, 2016.

LIBRARY:

Please return your child's library book by WEDNESDAY in the ZIPLOC BAG.  This way, it will give the children one extra day before the books are due in case there are any forgotten books. Thank you!

* Be sure to check out the November family project tab for this month's homework

* I have added new pictures of the children in the photos tab.

REMINDERS:

The dark blue and light blue duo-tangs will be sent home every Monday and must be returned the following Monday.  Throughout the week, please review the sound of the week and have your child complete the corresponding pages in the light blue duo-tang.  Please have your child practice singing the weekly songs/poems and complete the activity at the bottom of the page (if there is one) in the dark blue duo-tang. Please refer to the introduction letter for a more detailed explanation of this on the 2nd page in the dark blue and light blue duo-tangs.

Please continue to have your child practice writing his/her name EVERY DAY.  Thank you!

COLD WEATHER:

Please be sure to send your child to school with a jacket, hat, scarf/neck warmer, and gloves/mitts.  It might be a good idea to begin sending your child to school with boots as well since the children are outside for at least 15 minutes at recess and at least 30 minutes at lunch time. Thank you :)
