Sound Monster: 

* This Wednesday, February 17th, 2016, we will be feeding the Sound Monster.  Please send in 1 item (a toy, a book, a picture, etc. ) that begins with the "v" sound on Wednesday.  The item will be returned to your child at the end of the day.  If you cannot find an item, you can have your child draw a picture and write the corresponding word.  Some ideas for the "v" sound include: violin, velcro, vase, van and vacuum.

Important Information:

REPORT CARDS AND PARENT-TEACHER INTERVIEWS FOR TERM 2:

On Thursday, February 18th, 2016, the term 2 report cards will be sent home. Please sign the confirmation slip and return it to school along with your child's ziploc bag and term 2 picture.  Also I am sending home the appointment times for parent teacher interviews on Monday.  I look forward to meeting with you on Thursday evening.

MYSTERY BAG (SHOW AND TELL ACTIVITY):

 * This week: Alisha and Naailah will present their Mystery bags on Wednesday, February 17th, 2016.

OVERNIGHT BUDDY:

We will continue our overnight buddy activity this week. Each night a different child in the class will take home our class buddy Olivia the Owl and complete a page in her journal adventure book. Please return the overnight buddy and journal book in the ziploc bag it was sent home in the next day.

THEME TABLE:

We are continuing our friendship and Valentine's Day theme.  I invite the children to bring in books, toys or objects related to our theme that we can place on our theme table in the class. Please be sure to write your child' s name on the item or book so that I can easily return it to you. Thank you in advance!

REMINDER:

The blue and purple duo-tangs will be sent home every Monday and must be returned the following Monday.  Throughout the week, please review the sound of the week and have your child complete the corresponding pages in the purple duo-tang.  Please have your child practice singing the weekly songs/poems and complete the activity at the bottom of the page (if there is one) in the blue duo-tang. Please refer to the introduction letter for a more detailed explanation of this on the 2nd page in the blue and purple duo-tangs.
