* This Friday, May 10th, 2019, we will be feeding the Sound Monster. Please send in 1 item (a toy, a book, a picture, etc. ) that begins with the "qu" sound on Wednesday. The item will be returned to your child at the end of the day. If you cannot find an item, you can have your child draw a picture and write the corresponding word. It may be difficult to find objects with the "qu" sound, so any object with an "x" in it will be fine. Some ideas for the "qu" sound include: quarter, quail, queen , and quilt.Number of the Week:

* I have posted the new family project for the months of May AND June combinedI have decided that the FARM family project will be for both the months of May and June. The deadline will be changed to Monday, June 10th, 2019.
THEME TABLE:
MYSTERY BAG (SHOW AND TELL ACTIVITY):
Our new theme for the coming weeks is the farm. I invite the children to bring in books, toys or objects related to our theme that we can place on our theme table in the class. Please be sure to write your child' s name on the item or book so that I can easily return it to you. Thank you in advance!
MYSTERY BAG (SHOW AND TELL ACTIVITY):
* This week: Mady-Sun, Tekkai and Lonna will present their Mystery bags on Friday, May 10th, 2019.
OVERNIGHT BUDDY:
Our two class buddies will continue to circulate. Each night a different child in the class will take home our class buddy Freddie the Frog and complete a page in his journal adventure book. Please return the overnight buddy and journal book in the ziploc bag it was sent home in the next day. We will continue to send home Olivia the Owl as well.
LITERACY AND NUMERACY WORKSHOP FOR PARENTS OF KINDERGARTEN STUDENTS:
Thank you to those who have already returned the RSVP slip for this workshop. If you have not already done so and are able to attend, please return the confirmation slip (even though the deadline has passed, we are still accepting parents as the session is not full yet). Lots of free materials will be given to those who attend :) Last year, this workshop was a tremendous success. I will be present at the workshop again this year.
BOOK SHOW AND TELL ACTIVITY:
As part of Reading Month, I would like the children to do a special Book Show and Tell Activity. The presentations will take place this week. Please remember to have your child bring in his/her book to share with the class.
