* This Friday, April 13th, 2018, we will be feeding the Sound Monster. Please send in 1 item (a toy, a book, a picture, etc. ) that begins with the "y" sound on Wednesday. The item will be returned to your child at the end of the day. If you cannot find an item, you can have your child draw a picture and write the corresponding word. Some ideas for the "y" sound include: yogurt and yo-yo.Number of the Week:

April is READING MONTH at Good Shepherd School. The PPO (Parent Participation Organization) has generously purchased a book for each child in the school! We will be receiving the books this week. A big thank you to our school's PPO!

This week we are beginning a new exciting project in Kindergarten!
We are going to explore the world of robotics with our BEEBOTS. The beebots are simple robots (shaped like bees) that can be programmed to do several simple tasks. Be on the lookout for some new pictures soon and please ask your children about it!
MYSTERY BAG (SHOW AND TELL ACTIVITY):

MYSTERY BAG (SHOW AND TELL ACTIVITY):
* This week: Victoria and Victoria Nicole will present their Mystery bags on Friday, April 13th, 2018.
OVERNIGHT BUDDY:
Starting this week, a new overnight buddy will begin visiting the children's homes. Each night a different child in the class will take home our class buddy Freddie the Frog and complete a page in his journal adventure book. Please return the overnight buddy and journal book in the ziploc bag it was sent home in the next day. We will continue to send home Olivia the Owl as well.
SCHOLASTICS:
Last Friday, I sent home the flyers for the month of April. Please note that the deadline to submit your order is Friday, April 13th, 2018.
THEME TABLE:
We are beginning our new Earth Day theme this week. I invite the children to bring in books, toys or objects related to our theme that we can place on our theme table in the class. Please be sure to write your child' s name on the item or book so that I can easily return it to you. Thank you in advance!
