* This Friday, April 20th, 2018, we will be feeding the Sound Monster. Please send in 1 item (a toy, a book, a picture, etc. ) that begins with the "x" sound on Friday. The item will be returned to your child at the end of the day. If you cannot find an item, you can have your child draw a picture and write the corresponding word. It may be difficult to find objects with the "x" sound, so any object with an "x" in it will be fine. Some ideas for the "x" sound include: xylophone, x-ray and box.Number of the Week:

LITERACY AND NUMERACY WORKSHOP FOR PARENTS OF KINDERGARTEN STUDENTS:
On Monday, I am sending home a paper copy for the literacy and numeracy workshop that was sent home last week electronically by Ms. Terry. Please RSVP as soon as possible. Lots of free materials will be given to those who attend :) Last year, this workshop was a tremendous success. I will be present at the workshop again this year.
BOOK SHOW AND TELL ACTIVITY:
As part of Reading Month, I would like the children to do a special Book Show and Tell Activity. On Monday, I will send home a letter explaining this activity in detail (in your child's communication folder). Your child will need to select his/her favourite book from home to present to the class.
MYSTERY BAG (SHOW AND TELL ACTIVITY):
* This week: Jacob and Jensen will present their Mystery bags on Friday, April 27th, 2018.
OVERNIGHT BUDDY:
Our two class buddies will continue to circulate. Each night a different child in the class will take home our class buddy Freddie the Frog and complete a page in his journal adventure book. Please return the overnight buddy and journal book in the ziploc bag it was sent home in the next day. We will continue to send home Olivia the Owl as well.
THEME TABLE:
We are continuing our Earth Day theme this week. I invite the children to bring in books, toys or objects related to our theme that we can place on our theme table in the class. Please be sure to write your child' s name on the item or book so that I can easily return it to you. Thank you in advance!

1- CHARACTER DRESS UP DAY (dress like a character from a book, e.g., Minnie Mouse, Cat in the Hat, Clifford etc.)
