Sound Monster: 

* This Friday, March 31st, 2017, we will be feeding the Sound Monster.  Please send in 1 item (a toy, a book, a picture, etc. ) that begins with the "u" sound on Wednesday.  The item will be returned to your child at the end of the day.  If you cannot find an item, you can have your child draw a picture and write the corresponding word.  Some ideas for the "u" sound include: umbrella and up.

MYSTERY BAG (SHOW AND TELL ACTIVITY):

 * This week: Le Shaya and Dylan will present their Mystery bags on Friday, March 31sth, 2017.

OVERNIGHT BUDDY:

We will continue our overnight buddy activity this week. Each night a different child in the class will take home our class buddy Olivia the Owl and complete a page in her journal adventure book. Please return the overnight buddy and journal book in the ziploc bag it was sent home in the next day.  Very soon I will send home our second overnight buddy Freddie the Frog to visit the children's homes.

THEME TABLE:

We will take a break from our penguin theme to explore our Easter and rabbits theme.   I invite the children to bring in books, toys or objects related to our theme that we can place on our theme table in the class. Please be sure to write your child' s name on the item or book so that I can easily return it to you. Thank you in advance!

* We will continue penguins in a few weeks.

* This Friday, March 24th, 2017, we will be feeding the Sound Monster.  Please send in 1 item (a toy, a book, a picture, etc. ) that begins with the "d" sound on Wednesday.  The item will be returned to your child at the end of the day.  If you cannot find an item, you can have your child draw a picture and write the corresponding word.  Some ideas for the "d" sound include: duck, dog, donut and doll.

Important Information:

This week we are beginning 2 new exciting projects in Kindergarten!

1- We are teaming up with Ms. Julie's grade 1/2 class for the next few weeks to explore the world of robotics with our BEEBOTS.  The beebots are simple robots (shaped like bees) that can be programmed to do several simple tasks.

2- MINDFULNESS: This week we will have a special visitor, Mrs. Rekha Magon who will work with the students and myself to learn about breathing, relaxation, strategies to help the children calm down and cope with their emotions, etc.

SCHOLASTICS:

Please note that the deadline to submit your March order is Wednesday, March 22nd, 2017.
