This Friday, September 28th, 2018, we will be feeding the Sound Monster. Please send in 1 item (a toy, a book, a picture, etc. ) that begins with the "a" sound on Friday. The item will be returned to your child at the end of the day. If you cannot find an item, you can have your child draw a picture and write the corresponding word. Some ideas for the "a" sound include: apple and ant.Number of the Week:

This week, we will continue our apple theme. I invite the children to bring in books, toys or objects related to our theme that we can place on our theme table in the class. Thank you to all the families that have already brought things for our theme table. :) Please be sure to write your child' s name on the item or book so that I can easily return it to you. Thank you in advance!
We have many fun activities planned related to apples in the coming weeks. I am asking all children to bring 3 apples to school by Friday. Please send in a red apple (a Red Delicious or McIntosh), a yellow apple (Golden Delicious) and a green apple (Granny Smith). Please send the apples to school as soon as possible. We will use the apples to make apple sauce and for a taste test as well as some Science and Math lessons.
Please continue to have your child practice writing his/her name EVERY DAY. Please have your child use lower case (small) letters for his/her name. Thank you!

REMINDERS:
The blue duo-tang will be sent home every Monday and must be returned the following Monday. You will keep the purple duo-tang at home. Throughout the week, please review the sound of the week and have your child complete the corresponding pages in the purple duo-tang. Please have your child practice singing the weekly songs/poems and complete the activity at the bottom of the page (if there is one) in the blue duo-tang. Please refer to the introduction letter for a more detailed explanation of this on the 2nd page of both duo-tangs.
