Important Information:

PINK T-SHIRT DAY (anti-bullying):

Throughout the year, we continuously discuss respect and how to treat each other with kindness.  We discuss teasing and bullying and strategies to handle these incidents.  Please follow up on this at home with your children.  It is essential that your children feel they can talk about anything that may be bothering them with you, their parents, and with the adults at school.  The entire school will participate in pink t-shirt day on Wednesday, February 28th, 2018, to show our support for anti-bullying.  (Please see my message below in the Important dates section).

DR. SEUSS THEME DAYS:

This week there will be 2 special Dr. Seuss themed days (based on two of his popular books).  I invite your child to send in any Dr. Seuss books he/she would like to share with the class this week.

1- This Wednesday, we will celebrate WACKY WEDNESDAY by wearing our clothes inside out and messing up our hair!

2- This Friday, we will celebrate SILLY SOCKS DAY by wearing silly socks or 2 mismatched socks.

MYSTERY BAG (SHOW AND TELL ACTIVITY):

I am sending home a letter explaining our new show and tell activity that will begin this week.  Every week 2 children will take home our mystery bag and fill it with a special item to present to the class. The presentations will always be on FRIDAYS.

This week: Kaeyan and Ariel will present their Mystery bags on Friday, March 2nd, 2018.

OVERNIGHT BUDDY:

I am sending home a letter to explain our overnight buddy activity. Each night a different child in the class will take home our class buddy Olivia the Owl and complete a page in her journal adventure book. Please return the overnight buddy and journal book in the ziploc bag it was sent home in the next day.

UPDATE

UPDATE:

Hello Families,

I am sorry that it has taken this long for me to communicate with you.  As you know, I was away in Florida until Monday, February 5th, 2018.  Unfortunately I returned from Florida with a shoulder injury.  After a visit to the emergency room, I unfortunately will be off of work for two weeks while my shoulder heals.  My recovery is going well and I am regaining some mobility in my right arm.  Fortunately Mrs. Lauren was available to replace me for the next two weeks which is very good for the students to have consistency and not a different substitute teacher every day.  We are in contact daily so if there is something you would like to communicate to me, please feel free to email me directly or Mrs. Lauren and she can relay the message to me.  Please tell your children I miss them all very much and am looking forward to coming back to school to see them.  Thank you for your understanding.

Mrs. Anna :)
