MSound Monster:
* This Friday, December 8th, 2017, we will be feeding the Sound Monster. Please send in 1 item (a toy, a book, a picture, etc. ) that begins with the "M" sound on Wednesday. The item will be returned to your child at the end of the day. If you cannot find an item, you can have your child draw a picture and write the corresponding word. Some ideas for the "M" sound include: monkey, mail, monster, macaroni, mushroom, and marshmallow.
On Thursday, December 14th, 2017, (at 7:00 PM) Good Shepherd School will be putting on our holiday show. My Kindergarten class is paired with Ms. Alexis' grade 6 class and we will be doing a choreographed dance. We are asking all of children to arrive at 6:45 PM and come directly to MY CLASSROOM. If you would like to attend the show, you must pre-order tickets (maximum of 2 per family) by completing the order form you will receive by email this week. The tickets do sell out quickly as there is only 1 show in the evening. There is a day show for grandparents (ONLY).
THEME TABLE:
Our new theme until the holiday break will be gingerbread man and Christmas. I invite the children to bring in books, toys or objects related to our theme that we can place on our theme table in the class. Please be sure to write your child' s name on the item or book so that I can easily return it to you. Thank you in advance!

Please note that the deadline to submit your order is Wednesday, December 6th, 2017. If your order if a surprise, I can send it home in a sealed envelope.
REMINDERS:
The blue duo-tang will be sent home every Monday and must be returned the following Monday. You will keep the purple duo-tang at home. Throughout the week, please review the sound of the week and have your child complete the corresponding pages in the purple duo-tang. Please have your child practice singing the weekly songs/poems and complete the activity at the bottom of the page (if there is one) in the blue duo-tang. Please refer to the introduction letter for a more detailed explanation of this on the 2nd page of both duo-tangs.
Please continue to have your child practice writing his/her first name EVERY DAY. If you feel your child is ready, you can have him/her begin writing his/her first and last name and then writing his/her phone number.

This FRIDAY, December 8th, 2017, I am asking all the children to bring in a teddy bear for our Teddy Bear visit. All of the teddy bears will be returned home on Friday for the weekend. Thank you for your usual cooperation. :)
