Sound Monster: 

* This Friday, February 3rd, 2017, we will be feeding the Sound Monster.  Please send in 1 item (a toy, a book, a picture, etc. ) that begins with the "z" sound on Wednesday.  The item will be returned to your child at the end of the day.  If you cannot find an item, you can have your child draw a picture and write the corresponding word.  Some ideas for the "z" sound include: zebra, zig zag and zoo.

DR. SEUSS THEME DAYS:

This week there will be 2 special Dr. Seuss themed days (based on two of his popular books).

1- This Wednesday, we will celebrate WACKY WEDNESDAY by wearing our clothes inside out and messing up our hair!

2- This Friday, we will celebrate SILLY SOCKS DAY by wearing silly socks or 2 mismatched socks.

PARENT-TEACHER INTERVIEWS FOR TERM 2:

This week I will be sending home the papers for parent-teacher interviews for the parents I need to meet with. Please note that you can always request an interview with me to discuss your child even if I have not requested one with you.

MYSTERY BAG (SHOW AND TELL ACTIVITY):

* This week: Luciano and Kanak will present their Mystery bags on Friday, February 3rd, 2017.

OVERNIGHT BUDDY:

Our overnight buddy Olivia the Owl will continue to make her way around our class.  Please note that your child can DRAW DIRECTLY IN the journal book.  It is not necessary to draw the picture on another paper and glue it in the book. Please return the overnight buddy and journal book in the ziploc bag it was sent home in the next day.

* This Friday, January 27th, 2017, we will be feeding the Sound Monster.  Please send in 1 item (a toy, a book, a picture, etc. ) that begins with the "c or k" sound on Wednesday.  The item will be returned to your child at the end of the day.  If you cannot find an item, you can have your child draw a picture and write the corresponding word.  Some ideas for the "c or k" sound include: cat, car, crayon, clock, king, kite, kangaroo and koala.

I am sending home a letter explaining our new show and tell activity that will begin this week.  Every week 2 children will take home our mystery bag and fill it with a special item to present to the class. The presentations will always be on FRIDAYS.

* This week: Nathan and Le Shaya will present their Mystery bags on Friday, January 20th, 2017.

OVERNIGHT BUDDY:

I am sending home a letter to explain our overnight buddy activity. Each night a different child in the class will take home our class buddy Olivia the Owl and complete a page in her journal adventure book. Please return the overnight buddy and journal book in the ziploc bag it was sent home in the next day.
