*** THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL AFTER THE HOLIDAY BREAK IS THURSDAY, JANUARY 7th, 2016.  January 6th, 2016 is a PED. DAY and there is no school on January 4th, 2016 and January 5th, 2016

CHRISTMAS CARDS/ HOLIDAY TREATS:

Some parents have already asked for the names of the children in the class so they can send in Christmas cards or holiday treats.  Please note there is no obligation to send in treats for the class or Christmas cards.  I do ask that if you would like to do this, to please include all of the children so no one feels left out.  Thank you for your cooperation :)  Here is a list of all of the children in the class:

PYJAMA/MOVIE/GAME BOARD DAY:

On Tuesday, December 22nd, 2015, the two kindergarten classes have planned a fun pyjama day!  We invite the children to bring in:

* a stuffed animal for the day
* a board game to share with his/her friends 

and to come to school in his/her pyjamas of course! 

THEME TABLE:

We will continue our gingerbread man and Christmas themes this week. I invite the children to bring in books, toys or objects related to our theme that we can place on our theme table in the class. Please be sure to write your child' s name on the item or book so that I can easily return it to you. Thank you in advance!

REMINDER:

The blue and purple duo-tangs will be sent home every Monday and must be returned the following Monday.  Throughout the week, please review the sound of the week and have your child complete the corresponding pages in the purple duo-tang.  Please have your child practice singing the weekly songs/poems and complete the activity at the bottom of the page (if there is one) in the blue duo-tang. Please refer to the introduction letter for a more detailed explanation of this on the 2nd page in the blue and purple duo-tangs.

Sound Monster: 

This Friday, December 11th, 2015, we will be feeding the Sound Monster.  Please send in 1 item (a toy, a book, a picture, etc. ) that begins with the "b" sound on Wednesday.  The item will be returned to your child at the end of the day.  If you cannot find an item, you can have your child draw a picture and write the corresponding word.  Some ideas for the "b" sound include: ball, bat, brush, book and balloon.
