* This Friday,  February 26, 2021, we will feed the Sound Monster with "m" sound objects.  If you cannot find an item, you can have your child draw a picture and write the corresponding word or print a picture from the internet. Some ideas for the "m" sound include: mitten, marker, monkey, mail, monster, macaroni, mushroom and marshmallow.

KINDNESS (ANTI-BULLYING) DAY & DONATION ($2.00) FOR BREAST CANCER: wear pink today: Wednesday, February 24, 2021

* If you do not have a pink shirt, there is no need to purchase one. Your child can wear pink socks or a scarf or something else. 

* We are collecting twonies ($2.00) for breast cancer research. Please send in your $2.00 donation by Wednesday, February 24, 2021.

* I have posted new pictures of the children in the Photos tab.  

100th day of school: Thursday, February 25th, 2021

1- February Family Project: 100th day of school shirt

To celebrate the 100th day, I am asking families to make a t-shirt/long sleeve shirt with 100 of something (fingerprints, foam hearts, feathers, pompoms, pieces of pasta, stickers, etc) for your child to wear. There are many different t-shirt ideas online. I invite you to take a look. Just google "100th day of school t-shirt".

2- Mystery paper bag collection of 100 items:

Please have your child fill the paper bag that was sent home with 100 items. Your child will present his/her collection of 100 items to the class on Thursday, February 25th, 2021. 

* Please let me know if you need another paper bag or explanation sheet.

PARENT-TEACHER MEETINGS:

For the first term report card parent-teacher meetings, I will be contacting the parents I NEED to speak with.  If I have not contacted you, you can always request a meeting with me to discuss your child.  We will proceed in the same manner as our first parent-teacher meetings using ZOOM or with a phone call.  

HOMEWORK:

Please keep the Alphabet Letter Sounds yellow homework duo-tang at home.  Please refer to the first page in the yellow duo-tang for a detailed explanation of the homework. 

The blue songs and poems duo-tang will be sent home every Monday and must be returned the following Monday. Throughout the week, please have your child practice singing the weekly songs/poems and complete the activity at the bottom of the page (if there is one) in the blue duo-tang. Please refer to the introduction letter for a more detailed explanation.
